No matter what agency you pick, you’ll still be able to avail multiple certification, proper diving training, open water exams, scuba equipment, and many others. So one may ask, if they are so similar, then what is the point of choosing a certain agency?

National Association of Underwater Instructors (NAUI)

NAUI s highly known for being the world’s largest non-profit diving organization. It’s also the oldest among the three, established in 1959 with over 50 years of promoting diving safety.

Unlike PADI, NAUI is more cautious when it comes to the safety of their divers, even offering basic rescue lessons. They are known for giving long and detailed courses, earning them the top spot in diver education.

Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI)

PADI is the biggest and most widespread dive organization. PADI has shops in almost every corner of the globe. It was established back in the year 1996, and now has more than 133,000 members all over the world!

There are a lot of advantages upon cooking PADI, standardized but among some is the fact that their certification is recognized internationally. PADI instructors are also required to the standardized method of teaching to ensure that they only produce highly skilled divers.

While every agency has their own unique advantages, the question of which is best for you still depends on numerous factors. In the end, it will be the quality of your instructor and your compatibility with his teaching methods that will determine the overall effectivity of your diving education.
